The 123rd High School Day celebration of Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS) was truly a memorable and exciting experience. The celebration started with a grand parade around the Vigan, where students from different grade levels proudly marched with their different props. It was amazing to see the enthusiasm and pride of every student as they showcased their school spirit. The streets were filled with cheerful music and excited onlookers, making the event lively and festive.
One of the most anticipated parts of the celebration was the field demonstration, where students from each grade level, from Grade 7 to Grade 11, presented spectacular performances. Boys and girls alike took to the field to showcase the rich and diverse cultures of different countries such as Brazil, America, Mexico, the Philippines, and more. Each presentation was well-rehearsed and captivating, with colorful costumes and energetic dance moves that truly brought each culture to life. It was impressive to see how each group put in so much effort to deliver an outstanding performance, reflecting their creativity and teamwork.
The yearly celebration of the founding of ISNHS holds great significance as it reminds us of the school’s long and rich history of providing quality education to countless students throughout the years. It serves as a celebration of unity and pride for the whole school community while honoring the legacy of the institution. Through events like this, students and teachers alike are given the chance to strengthen bonds and create beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. It also fosters school spirit and highlights the importance of preserving our traditions and celebrating our achievements as one big family.
Personally, I felt a sense of pride being part of this celebration. Seeing my fellow students give their best in the field demonstration and witnessing the collective effort of everyone involved made me realize how much ISNHS values unity and cultural appreciation. The entire event left a lasting impact on me, as it showcased not only the talents and dedication of the students but also the enduring spirit of our beloved school. I am truly grateful to have experienced this remarkable occasion and look forward to more celebrations that honor the legacy of ISNHS.
